member groups,
So this is how we're going to do this. Your primary member groups are as follows:freshies: Freshies are commonly known as freshmen. These are first year high school students. They're at the bottom of the food chain regardless of what clique they belong too. It isn't possible to have an it girl who's just entered the building. you can be a freshmen more than once if you fail, but chances are that'll also total your social status.
sophomores: Sophomores are second year students. Again, the chances of you being the most popular girl or boy in the school at this age group is slim, though it isn't impossible.
juniors: Third year students are referred to as juniors. If you are a third year student, or a fourth year who has yet to pass this level, you will be classified as a junior.
seniors: Seniors are in their final year of high school. Most of the senior class will know one another, and they will probably all be involved in something, whether it be a school group or trying to figure out what they want to do for a living.
drop out: this group is for those people who haven't graduated, and have no intentions of doing so. If your character is under 18 and has no GED or diploma he/she will be placed under the drop out category. This has no effect on their clique, it just means they cannot be jocks or the it crowd simply because they don't attend school. they can still be rebels, outcasts...those kinds of things.
University: Obviously this is where the university kids will go. As opposed to having a clique though, university students will have their year in the member title.
educator: Educators are teachers OR professors. Again, as opposed to a clique they will have either "high school" or "university" in their member titles.
Resident: Residents are those who live in Bayview but are over 18, don't go to university, and aren't teachers. Their member title will be their jobs, be sure to include that as "member group" in your application.
NOW. As for cliques, this is how it'll work. Your Member group will be one of the above. However, there's a member title as well. In your application you will have to include both your clique and your member group within the Member group option. For teachers your member group slot will read: Educator - whatever level you teach/subject you teach. For drop outs and residents your member group option should read: Resident (Or drop out) - job title. University applications will have this: University- year. And finally, high school students will read: freshie/sophmore/junior/senior- clique.
The cliques are as follows:
--THE IN CROWD--
The in crowd rules the school. They're normally the rich kids with the influential parents, or the drop dead gorgeous girls with lots of leverage on all the students. They're insanely well known and led by a Queen and a King. The two are normally a couple but there have been occasions where they aren't.
--THE JOCKS--
The jocks are second to bat. They've got almost as much leverage over everyone as the it crowd does, except they're a little more focused on their athletics. They're always throwing drunken bashes after a big win, and almost always dress sport-like.
--THE PREPS--
The Preps are generally the overly girlish girls who are either very stuck up or impossibly bubbly. The males of this clique tend to be more sophisticated, wearing argyle and whatever they find in American eagle. They are honestly the most tight knit group, and also the ones you'll find at almost all parties.
--THE WANNABES--
The wannabe's are almost as annoying as the preps. They're worse though because they dont actually belong in any of these groups, they just try to. They're the ones you'll see spreading unimaginable amounts of gossip and lying through there teeth, anything to get to the top.
--THE SLUTS--
The sluts are pretty to look at, but impossible to touch. They dress exactly like their titled, but rarely give out.
--THE WHORES--
The whores on the other hand give out as much as they possibly can. They're the ones who you'll find in janitors closets and things, trying their best to fit in by sleeping with whoever finds them remotely attractive. Or theres the few that just really enjoy getting laid.
--THE SCENE--
Scene is actually a very broad category for those funky styles you see. Theres the emo chicks with the black poofy hair and the dark clothes, or the goths and the brightly coloured girls and boys who walk around like that for attention. They say they're being original, but if everyones doing it, is it really all that original?
--THE GEEKS--
A few things fall into this category, Band geeks, School geeks, Drama nerds. All that good stuff. The geeks are pretty decent since they tend to end up doing everyones homework for them. They're quiet and either very snotty about the intellect or passion, or they're soft spoken and well mannered.
--THE MUSIC GURUS--
These people live, Breathe and shit music. They know every song, every lyric, and every beat. They know how to play some type of music, read it, or are just completely in love with their ipod. Alot of them are singers, dancer, ect. They love who they are and aren't afraid to be stereotyped.
--THE DRUGGIES--
The druggies are just that. Druggies. They smoke, they drink, they do things they wont be proud of in ten twenty years. They're the people your parents dont want you to become, the ones on the corner of the street smoking weed while class is in session. They're rarely in classes because they'd rather have fun.
--THE LONERS--
The loners are the oens who don't exactly fit into any clique. They prefer solitude or just not being around the popularity crisis.
